Traveling is better with people but finding people who are actually free when you are is the hard part. That's the exact problem Travloop was built to solve.
If you've landed on our homepage and wondered how the "match your dates" thing actually works, or you're deciding whether to sign up, this post walks through the whole process from start to finish.
Add Your Free Dates
Everything on Travloop starts with your calendar, not a destination.
When you sign up, you tell us the dates you're actually free to travel not "sometime this year," but a real start and end date. This flips the usual travel-planning order: instead of picking a destination first and then scrambling to find people free at the same time, you lock in when you can go, and Travloop shows you who else and what trips line up with that window.
You can update your free dates anytime, so if your schedule shifts, your matches shift with it.
See Your Matches
Once your dates are in, Travloop shows you:
• Other travelers who are free during the same window and share similar travel interests (adventure, beach, nature, luxury, etc.)
• Trips already forming that fit your dates real trips, with real destinations and prices, not just placeholder listings
• Group sizes and interest levels, so you can see which dates within a trip are the most popular before you commit
This is the part that makes Travloop feel more like a matching platform than a booking site you're not just seeing inventory, you're seeing who's actually planning to be there too.
Join a Trip, or Start Your Own
From here you have two paths:
Join a trip that's already forming. Browse the available dates for a trip, see who else is interested, and click Join This Trip to secure your spot. You can also share the trip link with friends to help fill the group faster.
Suggest your own dates. If nothing on the calendar fits, propose your own dates for a trip. Other travelers can join if it works for them, and once enough people align, the trip activates and moves into planning mode.
Either way, every trip request goes through a review before it goes live so you're not joining a random unvetted listing, you're joining something that's been checked first.
What Happens After You Join?
Once your spot is secured, you'll get updates as the group fills, and once the trip is confirmed, you'll move into the planning stage together with the rest of your group. (If you're the one who suggested the trip, this is also the point where your idea officially becomes a real, bookable adventure.)
